Based on official sources, checked on 28 October 2026.

Before you arrive

  • Online procedure: SailClear (pré-déclaration recommandée ; abonnement 25 US$/an depuis mai 2024) — sailclear.com

The steps

  1. Pick up a mooring (or check-in buoy) and take the dinghy to Fort Bay harbour.
  2. Clear customs and immigration (online entry forms save time).
  3. Check in at the Harbour Office, then with the Saba Marine Park.

Papers to have on board

  • Passports for the whole crew
  • Visas, if your nationality requires them
  • Boat papers (registration certificate)
  • Crew list
  • Outward clearance from the previous country
  • Papers for animals on board

Good to know

  • Fort Bay is the only port of entry; other bays can be unsafe depending on the sea.
  • After customs and immigration, check in with the Harbour Office and register with the Marine Park (office in Fort Bay); nightly park fee.
  • New Black Rocks harbour under construction: breakwater due end of 2026, jetties before the 2027 hurricane season; it is meant to become the main entry point, with customs and immigration.
  • Departure tax of about US$10 per person (noonsite).
